Committed Cops – Inspirational Kids – Caring Communities

We have been sponsors of the Tour De Rock for 6 years now.

The Cops for Cancer Tour De Rock is a two-week bicycle journey in which a team of police officers, and local media personnel ride 1,000 kilometres from the north end of Vancouver island to the South raising money to fight childhood cancers.

Since the tour began on Vancouver Island in 1998, the Tour has raised more than $15 million for the Canadian Cancer Society.

The Canadian Cancer Society uses the money on Vancouver Island to fund pediatric cancer research and fund programs that help children with cancer, and their families.

This year’s tour begins on Saturday September 24th and goes until Friday October 7th. Their tour will be stopping in Nanaimo on Sunday, October 2nd. They will be hosted here, at the Inn on Long Lake.

The tour travels through 27 cities/towns on Vancouver Island, with fundraising events happening year round in each community.
